Roast: Medium-Light Review Date: October 2013
Origin: Rwanda Price: NT $550/16 ounces

Blind Assessment: Intensely pungent: black currant, orange, dark chocolate with a slight mushroom-like savory edge in the cup. Round, rich acidity. Full, syrupy mouthfeel. The savory pungency carries into a lasting, though simple, finish.

Notes: Rwanda's impressive potential as fine coffee producer has come to fruition over the past decade owing to the industry of its growers, generous support from international aid agencies, and the commitment of the world’s specialty coffee roasters. Kakalove Café is a nano-roaster located the small city of Chia-Yi in Taiwan that strives to procure, roast best quality coffee. Email kahiyuho@gmail.com for more information.

Who Should Drink It: Those who enjoy an intense, savory-sweet, pungently berry-toned cup with an impressively syrupy mouthfeel.
