  • Summit Winter Blend

Roast: Medium Review Date: December 2012
Origin: El Salvador; Sulawesi. Price: $13.99/12 ounces

Blind Assessment: Poised and balanced; sweet-toned. Nut-toned chocolate, caramel and vanilla notes dominate, but a sweet, rather opulent table grape sensation deepens and complicates the profile. Gentle, delicate acidity; round, rather creamy-textured mouthfeel. The essential sweetness of this coffee carries far into the long finish.

Notes: This coffee is a blend of El Salvador San Joaquin and Sulawesi Toarco AA, both interesting and distinguished coffees. Founded in 1971, Tony's Coffees & Teas is a wholesale specialty coffee roasting company. Although the Tony's roasting facility is in Bellingham, Washington, the company maintains distribution and training centers in Seattle, Washington and San Jose, California. Who Should Drink It: A soothing but engaging holiday blend that should make a small contribution to peace, on earth and at the dinner table.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
