Blind Assessment
Evaluated as espresso. Sweetly tart, gently earthy. Blackberry, baking chocolate, lemon verbena, pipe tobacco, fresh-cut fir in aroma and small cup. Crisp, velvety mouthfeel; earthy-sweet, citrusy-herbal finish. In three parts milk, notes of pipe tobacco and lemon verbena harmonize, supported by baking chocolate.
Notes
A 50/25/25 blend of a washed Colombia, a wet-hulled Sumatra, and a natural-processed Democratic Republic of the Congo. Utopian Coffee is a specialty roaster based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Visit www.utopiancoffee.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A complex, savory-leaning espresso blend that’s especially complex and nuanced in cappuccino format.
