Roast: Medium Review Date: June 2012
Origin: Central America; South America; East Africa; Asia. Price: HK $98/165 grams

Blind Assessment: Evaluated as espresso. Impressively complex and deep straight shot. Minty dark chocolate, orangy and raisiny fruit, a hint of dusk flowers in aroma and small cup. Smooth, lightly syrupy mouthfeel; resonant, chocolate-toned finish. Fades a bit in two parts milk, although it retains a delicate, sweet version of chocolate and a continuing hint of flowers.

Notes: Caffè HABITU, founded in Hong Kong, offers small-batch, on-demand roasting of the finest green coffees from around the world as well as coffee training and education through its Coffee Academy and Roasting Studio. Visit www.caffehabitu.com or call +852-3104-0075 for more information.

Who Should Drink It: A versatile, complex straight shot that should appeal to a variety of tastes. Doesn’t quite impose its character on milk, though those who take pleasure in sweet, delicate short milk drinks should enjoy it.
