Roast: Medium-Light Review Date: October 2011
Origin: Coatepeque, El Salvador Price: $12.35/12 ounce

Blind Assessment: Very sweet and honeyish. Almondy nut, crisp baker’s chocolate, peach- and apricot-toned fruit in aroma and cup. Roundly gentle acidity; impressively smooth, lightly syrupy mouthfeel. The sweetness carries decisively into the finish, though a slight bitterish astringency shadows the long.

Notes: Certified organically grown by members of the Las Lajas Cooperative located in the mountains of western El Salvador in the Municipality of Coatepeque. Unclebeanz was established as an online store in 2004 to expand on a passion for freshly roasted coffee. Visit www.unclebeanz.com or call 877-992-3269 for more information.

Who Should Drink It: This naturally sweet coffee with its gentle acidity should please those who take their coffee black and find bright, acidy coffees too assertive and uncomfortable.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
