Blind Assessment: Round if somewhat subdued fruit- and aromatic-wood-toned aroma with a hint of orange-toned chocolate. A smooth cup: silky mouthfeel, crisp acidity and continued soft notes of aromatic wood, citrus and nut. Flavors simplify in the quietly rich finish.
Notes: Sidikalang is a growing district in the classic Lake Toba region. Java Blend Coffee Roasters is a small batch roasting company owned and operated by the same family since 1938. It custom-roasts and delivers coffee within two days of ordering throughout most of the Maritime Provinces of Canada. Visit
Who Should Drink It: A gently satisfying cup, Sumatra character without distracting drama.
