Reviews for Creation Food Co.
Evaluated as espresso. Sweetly nut-toned, chocolaty, a bit smoky. Hazelnut, dark chocolate, scorched mesquite, raisin, gardenia in aroma and small cup. Satiny-smooth mouthfeel; bittersweet, smoky finish. In three parts milk, chocolate and gardenia notes are amplified and wood and nut tones recede to the backdrop.
Richly sweet, cocoa-toned. Cocoa powder, Brazil nut, magnolia, date, cedar in aroma and cup. Bittersweet structure with round, gentle acidity; velvety mouthfeel. Finish consolidates to cocoa-toned Brazil nut and date.
Evaluated as espresso. Richly sweet, caramelly. Orange zest, dark caramel, fir, raisin, freesia in aroma and small cup. Full, satiny mouthfeel; wood-framed, caramel- and fruit-toned finish. In three parts milk, raisin and caramel notes are foregrounded, with spice-toned, freesia-like flowers underneath.
Evaluated as espresso. Richly sweet, chocolate-toned. Chocolate fudge, magnolia, almond brittle, tangerine zest, cedar in aroma and small cup. Crisp, satiny mouthfeel; wood-framed, floral-toned finish. In three parts milk, notes of chocolate fudge resonate and linger, along with sweet magnolia-like flowers and hints of cedar.
Evaluated as espresso. Rich, fruit-toned, balanced. Baker’s chocolate, pomegranate, gardenia, grapefruit zest, fresh-cut fir in aroma and small cup. Lean, smooth mouthfeel; gently drying, cocoa-toned finish, with hints of grapefruit zest. In cappuccino-scaled milk, baker’s chocolate is center stage, supported by notes of sweet-tart fruit.
Evaluated as espresso. Extravagant, intricate, yet balanced. Strawberry guava, tangerine zest, lilac-like flowers, sandalwood, roasted cacao nib in aroma and small cup. Velvety and honeyish in mouthfeel. Deeply fruit-toned and sweet in the finish. Superb in three-parts milk: juicy, fruit-toned, chocolaty.
Evaluated as espresso. Dynamic yet balanced. Jasmine, chocolate, banana, tangerine zest, sandalwood in aroma and small cup. Lightly full, velvety mouthfeel; clean, round finish. Floral top notes shimmer atop deeply rich chocolate in three parts milk.
Evaluated as espresso. Balanced, delicately and sweetly tart. Peach, orange zest, lavender, fresh-cut cedar in aroma and small cup. Lightly but buoyantly syrupy mouthfeel; gently tart, drying, lavender-toned finish. Three parts milk both round the fruit toward chocolate while paradoxically emphasizing the blend’s bright, zesty character.
Evaluated as espresso. Sweetly bright; zesty. Grapefruit, cedar, baker’s chocolate, candied pecan, orange blossom in aroma and small cup. Delicate, satiny mouthfeel; citrus and chocolate carry into a richly tart finish. Sweetly zesty and vivacious in three parts milk, with a rounding and softening chocolate influence.
Evaluated as espresso. Rich, deep, roundly tart and slightly savory. Rum-toned dark chocolate, ripe orange, plum, oak, lavender top notes in aroma and small cup. Light but silky mouthfeel; deeply chocolaty, lightly drying mouthfeel. Authoritative, perhaps a bit blunt, in three parts milk: plum-like fruit, oaky dark chocolate.
Evaluated as espresso. Balanced, round but crisp and savory-edged, lightly chocolaty. Plum jam, dark chocolate, hazelnut, cedar in aroma and small cup. Lightly syrupy mouthfeel; rich, crisply sweet-savory finish. A dry, nut-toned dark chocolate dominates nicely in three-parts milk, sweetening in the finish.
Evaluated as espresso. In the aroma tart plum, soft cedar, backgrounded chocolate and floral hints. In the small cup a tart character dominates, turning the flowers toward anise and suppressing the chocolate. Lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Chocolate resurfaces in the crisply sweet finish. Flavor carries nicely into two parts milk, which rounds without suppressing the tart fruit while predictably intensifying the chocolate.
Evaluated as espresso. Dark chocolate, cedar, roasted nut, vanilla, blackberry in the impressive aroma. The aromatics dry out a bit in the small cup but retain complexity; the mouthfeel is full and robust; the finish richly drying with some flavor persistence. In two parts milk the coffee rather sharply dominates the milk, but it softens and blooms while retaining some complexity in four parts.
Evaluated as espresso. Buttery dark chocolate and hints of flowers, vanilla and cedar in the roundly balanced aroma. In the small cup the cedar comes forward and the chocolate turns crisp and backgrounded. Medium, lightly syrupy mouthfeel; gently and richly drying finish with good persistence of the chocolate note. Crisp and balanced in two parts milk crisp, with excellent flavor persistence: The buttery chocolate dominates with the cedar note once again backgrounded.
