Richly floral-toned, exceptionally sweet. Distinct narcissus, cocoa nib, myrrh, blackberry, lemon thyme in aroma and cup. Complex bittersweet structure with floral acidity; very full, syrupy-smooth mouthfeel. Engaging, satisfying finish that carries over all aromas and flavors from the cup.
Produced by Wilton Benitez of Macarena Farm entirely of the Geisha variety of Arabica, and processed by an experimental method in which the coffee fruit is sterilized with ozonated water and ultraviolet light, then undergoes a natural anaerobic fermentation (whole fruit is fermented in hermetically sealed vessels) with the addition of yeast. JBC Coffee Roasters’ vision is simple: “let the coffee lead the way” through sourcing and roasting the best and most unique coffees available and rewarding the farmers who grow those coffees with substantial premiums. A nuanced, complex experimentally processed Colombia Geisha cup with rich notes of spicy florals, ripe berries and sweet herb.
