Blind Assessment
Sweet, deep-toned, balanced. Pipe tobacco, candied walnut, caraway, rhododendron, toffee in aroma and cup. Savory-sweet in structure, thick and velvety in mouthfeel. Tobacco notes give way to nougat in the long finish.
Notes
Produced by Zhuo Wu Mountain Farm in Alishan, Chiayi, Taiwan, entirely from trees of the Robusta species and processed by the natural method (dried in the whole fruit). The very large beans suggest that this is a recently developed variety of Robusta. Visit www.douzhaicafe.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A classic fine Robusta profile, with complex nut notes and a nougaty sweetness.
