Blind Assessment
Gentle, impressively balanced cup. Nut, milk chocolate hints in the aroma. Richly sweet-toned acidity, lightly syrupy body, softly lively flavor with continued hints of nut and chocolate and a black-cherryish fruit. Rich, long, resonant finish.
Notes
Mandheling is a term variously used to describe a growing region surrounding Lake Toba in North Sumatra Province and a traditional type of wet-hulled coffee associated with that region. Our Coffee Barn is a small-batch wholesale and Internet retail roaster based in Wisconsin. Visit
Who Should Drink It
Those who look to Sumatra for deep, rounded acidity and smooth body. Not a robust or earthy version of the type.
