Deep, round, gently bright. Aprium, malt, lily-like flowers, baker’s chocolate, a hint of moist fallen leaves in aroma and cup. Sweet-toned, softly tart acidity; light, buoyant mouthfeel. Flavor consolidates in a long, sweet, very slightly drying finish.
This coffee originates from the Toarco (TOraja ARabica COffee) project in the famous Sulawesi coffee growing region of Toraja, a project developed and financed by Japan’s Key Coffee Company and its Indonesian partners. Until recently Toarco sold its entire production to the Japanese market, making this coffee rare in the United States. Toarco exports both conventionally washed coffee and wet-hulled coffee; this sample represents the latter. Java Blend Coffee Roasters is a small batch roasting company owned and operated by the same family since 1938. It custom-roasts and delivers coffee within two days of ordering throughout most of the Maritime Provinces of Canada. Visit www.javablendcoffee.com or call 877-596-5282 for more information.
Who Should Drink It
A combination of malty richness and gentle brightness make this an engaging version of a wet-hulled Sulawesi.
