Blind Assessment

An espresso blend evaluated here for use with non-espresso brewing methods (drip, French press): Distinct dark chocolate in aroma and cup, enlivened by a hint of pungent, grapefruity citrus. Lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Citrus and lemon carry into a smooth, sweet finish.

Notes

Certified organically grown and Fair Trade certified, meaning the coffees comprising this blend were purchased from small-holding farmers at a "fair" or economically sustainable price. Designed for espresso brewing, this blend was evaluated for this review as it might perform in non-espresso brewing methods like drip and French press. Coffee Review rated this blend 94 brewed as espresso in December of 2010. Canterbury Coffee is a large roasting company based in the Vancouver area, offering a wide range of coffee brands including Spirit Bear, ReSIProcate and Premio d’Italia. Visit www.canterburycoffee.com or call 800-664-2711 for more information.

Who Should Drink It

A beautifully balanced darker roast for those who avoid assertive acidity and value natural chocolaty sweetness.
