Blind Assessment: Evaluated as espresso. Crisply sweet, balanced, deep-toned. Pomegranate, dark chocolate, molasses, sandalwood, lilac in aroma and small cup. Viscous, full mouthfeel; tart, chocolaty finish. In cappuccino-scaled milk, chocolaty and richly floral-toned.
Notes: Produced by smallholding farmers around Agroeco Mill entirely of the Java variety of Arabica, and processed by the washed method. JBC Coffee Roasters’ vision is simple: “let the coffee lead the way” through sourcing and roasting the best and most unique coffees available and rewarding the farmers who grow those coffees with substantial premiums. The Bottom Line: A chocolaty-rich, sweetly floral, tartly fruit-toned single-origin Colombia espresso.
