Blind Assessment: Crisp, richly sweet. Lemon blossom, caramelized banana, fir, nutmeg, baker’s chocolate in aroma and cup. Bittersweet structure with mild acidity; lean, satiny mouthfeel. The gently drying finish leads with citrusy floral notes and caramelized banana in the short, consolidating to crisp, nutmeg-toned cocoa in the long.
Notes: Produced at Finca San Sebastian from trees of the Catuai and Typica varieties of Arabica. Processed by the wet or washed method (fruit skin and pulp are removed before drying). Jackrabbit Java selects the finest coffees from around the world and roasts them in Thermopolis, Wyoming’s fresh mountain air. All Jackrabbit Java coffees are specialty-grade and roasted to order. The Bottom Line : A straight-ahead Panama cup: crisp, citrus- and chocolate-toned with inviting tropical fruit notes.
