Blind Assessment: Sweetly tart, soft, balanced, aromatically complex. Orange, black cherry, black currant in aroma and cup, with a faint, backgrounded hint of milk chocolate. Rich, wine-like acidity, lightish body but silky mouthfeel. Sweet, full finish with considerable flavor persistence.
Notes: The high mountain valleys of central Papua New Guinea offer some of the world's most favorable terroirs for production of fine coffee. When these coffees, grown by local villagers, are carefully prepared by the traditional wet or washed method, as is the case with this coffee, they can compete the world's finest. Who Should Drink It: Quietly exotic, balanced, soft, exceptional.
