Blind Assessment
Evaluated as espresso. Richly chocolaty, gently fruit-forward. Dark chocolate, dried plum, rhododendron, roasted almond, fresh-cut fir in aroma and small cup. Very syrupy mouthfeel; crisply chocolaty, wood-framed finish. In cappuccino-scaled milk, attractive notes of dark chocolate and dried plum dominate.
Notes
A blend of various coffees from South America, decaffeinated in Colombia using ethyl acetate, a solvent derived from sugar cane. Paradise prides itself on quality and freshness, craft-roasting coffees in small batches only after orders are placed. Visit paradiseroasters.com or call 763-433-0626 for more information.
Bottom Line
A solid, richly chocolaty single-origin decaf Colombia espresso complicated by notes of dried stone fruit and roasted nut.
