Blind Assessment: Sweet, nut-toned aroma with hints of flowering grass, fir, molasses. In the cup bright but delicate acidity, lightly syrupy mouthfeel and great sweetness complicated by tart lemon, caramel and fir. Sweetness and flavor carry into the finish, rounding toward milk chocolate in the long.
Notes: Grown and processed on the 500 acre Zelaya family farm in Alotenango, Guatemala. JBC Coffee Roasters (formerly Johnson Brothers Coffee Roasters) is a distinguished small-batch roasting company. Visit www.jbccoffeeroasters.com or call 608-256-5282 for more information..
Who Should Drink It : An extremely light roast that manages to balance the gently tart and deeply sweet.
