Blind Assessment
Evaluated as espresso. Elegant, spice-toned, sweetly tart. Lilac, cedar, Concord grape, dark chocolate, almond in aroma and small cup. Full, syrupy mouthfeel; tart-leaning finish that centers around Concord grape and dark chocolate notes. In three parts milk, explodes with fruit tones beyond Concord grape: tropical notes of lychee, coconut underscored by dark chocolate, aromatic wood, and pretty lilac, all rounded and harmonized by the milk.
Notes
A.G.E. stands for “all-Gesha espresso,” and this coffee is a blend of coffees from trees of the Gesha variety of Arabica, one from Ethiopia and one from Panama. Ho Soo Tsai is a micro-roaster based in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. Visit https://www.facebook.com/LPCXHST or call +886-72364657 for more information.
Bottom Line
A gorgeous fruit- and floral-toned espresso, the pleasures of which are both intensified and deepened in milk, where a tropical theme (coconut, lychee) emerges.
