Blind Assessment: Bright, juicy, floral-toned. Narcissus, red plum, cocoa nib, bay leaf, maple syrup in aroma and cup. Gently tart structure with deep, juicy acidity; very syrupy-smooth mouthfeel. The finish leads with narcissus-like flowers and cocoa nib, with crisp maple syrup returning in the long.
Notes: Southern Ethiopia coffees like this one are largely produced from distinctive indigenous Ethiopian varieties of Arabica long grown in their respective regions. Processed by the wet or washed method (fruit skin and pulp are removed before drying). Jackrabbit Java selects the finest coffees from around the world and roasts them in Thermopolis, Wyoming’s mountain air. All Jackrabbit Java coffees are specialty-grade and roasted to order. The Bottom Line: A floral-driven washed-process Ethiopia cup: bright, nimble, juicy, and flavor-saturated.
