Blind Assessment: Delicate, richly aromatic, floral-toned. Honeysuckle, cocoa nib, pink grapefruit zest, apricot, marjoram in aroma and cup. Sweetly tart with juicy, high-toned acidity; plush, syrupy mouthfeel. Floral- and cocoa-driven finish.
Notes: Yirgacheffe coffees like this one are largely produced from traditional Ethiopian landrace varieties of Arabica long grown in the region. This is a wet-processed or “washed” version (fruit skin and pulp are removed before drying). Founded by Taylor Fields in 2018, Nostalgia is a third-wave mobile coffee shop that recently began also selling its coffee online. Visit www.nostalgiacoffeeroasters.com for more information.
The Bottom Line: A very pretty, elegant washed Ethiopia cup saturated with deeply sweet honeysuckle-like floral tones.
