Blind Assessment: Unusual aromatics and flavor: Spicy, peppery hints nuance distinct orangy and floral notes in aroma and cup, supported by a fresh, fir-like aromatic wood. Dry, spicy acidity, lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Clean and sweet-toned though rather simple finish.
Notes: Certified organically grown in southern Ecuador’s Loja Province. Based in the San Diego area, Bird Rock Coffee Roasters is a retailer and wholesaler that focuses on organic and socially responsible coffees. Visit www.birdrockcoffee.com or call 858-551-1707 for more information.
Who Should Drink It : Drink it for the spicy, fir-like edge to the fruit and acidity.
