Blind Assessment: Invitingly spicy and expansive. Candied ginger, cocoa nib, lychee and vanilla in aroma and cup. Delicate, juicy acidity; full, satiny mouthfeel. Richly drying finish features cocoa nib and ginger notes and lingering hints of lychee.
Notes: This is a dry-processed or “natural” coffee, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit has been removed, as is the case with wet-processed or “washed” coffees. Old Soul is a roastery, bakery and crafter of artisan goods dedicated to quality in every form. Visit www.oldsoulco.com or call 916-443-7685 for more information.
Who Should Drink It: Those who appreciate a twist on the classic Costa Rica: an unusually spicy and exotically sweet cup, tropical and refreshing.
