Blind Assessment

Invitingly fruity and nutty. Blood orange, almond brittle, Darjeeling, sassafras in aroma and cup. Juicy and buoyant acidity; full, velvety mouthfeel. Almond and sassafras carry far into the finish.

Notes

Finca Santa Lucia is a fifteen-acre coffee farm located in the Valle Central (Central Valley) region of Costa Rica. This is a wet-processed or “washed” coffee, meaning the fruit skin and pulp were removed from the beans immediately after harvesting and before drying. Based in the San Diego area, Bird Rock Coffee Roasters is a retailer and wholesaler focused on organic and socially responsible coffees; it was awarded the “2012 Micro Roaster of the Year” title from Roast Magazine. Visit www.birdrockcoffee.com or call 858-551-1707 for more information.

Who Should Drink It

Those who value a cup with graceful balance between bright, juicy citrus and crisp nut.
