Blind Assessment: Quiet, deep aroma and flavor with suggestions of nut-toned chocolate, peach and sweet melon. Additional complications of black tea and cedar in the cup. Rich lemony acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Fruit notes in particular carry into a complex, tartly sweet finish.
Notes: Certified organically grown. Finca Santa Lucia is a fifteen-acre coffee farm located in the Meseta Central (Central Valley) region of Costa Rica. Based in the San Diego area, Bird Rock Coffee Roasters is a retailer and wholesaler that focuses on organic and socially responsible coffees. Who Should Drink It: Classic in its bright acidity; unusual in its rather deep, peach-and-melon fruit.
