Blind Assessment
Crisply chocolaty, deep-toned. Baking chocolate, date, almond, Meyer lemon zest, oak forest in aroma and cup. Briskly sweet acidity; plush, satiny mouthfeel. Baking chocolate and sweet lemon zest carry the agreeable finish.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers, entirely of the Castillo variety of Arabica, and processed by the traditional washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Decaffeinated in Colombia using ethyl acetate, a solvent derived from sugarcane. Paradise Roasters specializes in micro-lot Arabica and Robusta coffees from Asia and other emerging origins. Paradise prides itself on quality and freshness, craft-roasting coffees in small batches only after orders are placed. Visit www.paradiseroasters.com or call 808-498-4048 for more information.
Bottom Line
A mighty nice decaf Colombia — chocolaty, very sweet and quite citrusy.
