Blind Assessment: Deeply sweet, fruit-toned. Watermelon candy, dark chocolate, a whiff of Bourbon barrel, fresh-cut fir, gardenia in aroma and cup. Sweet-tart structure with gentle acidity; full, satiny mouthfeel. Crisp, dry, chocolaty short finish with notes of sweet watermelon and whiskyish ferment in the long.
Notes: Produced at La Palma Y El Tucan and processed by the anaerobic natural method (whole fruit is fermented with limited oxygen before drying). Le Brewlife is a specialty coffee roaster based in Taichung, Taiwan. Visit www.lebrewlife.co for more information.
The Bottom Line: An intentionally fermenty, fruit-toned Colombia cup processed by the anaerobic method: fruity, chocolaty, pleasantly funky.
