Blind Assessment

Intense, complex, inimitably distinctive aromatics and flavor: crisp cocoa, cherryish fruit, brandy, spicy tea rose, fresh pipe tobacco. Rich, fruit-toned acidity; syrupy mouthfeel; long finish with an exquisite balance of dry cocoa and sweet fruit notes.

Notes

Cerro Azul is a coffee farm owned by brothers Rigoberto and Luis Eduardo Herrera. From trees of the now celebrated "Gesha" or "Geisha" variety of Arabica. With its distinctive floral and dry chocolate cup, the Gesha variety continues to distinguish itself as one of the world's most unique coffees. Based in the San Diego area, Bird Rock Coffee Roasters is a retailer and wholesaler that focuses on organic and socially responsible coffees. Visit www.birdrockcoffee.com or call 858-551-1707 for more information.

Who Should Drink It

The great Gesha profile pure and uncompromised. Too intense and distinctive not to mention too expensive for many coffee drinkers, but try it at least once.
