Blind Assessment: Although described on the package as an espresso, this blend is evaluated here for non-espresso brewing. Roundly pungent, richly chocolaty. A complex chocolate sensation dominates in aroma and cup, with a savory hint of nut. Gently brisk acidity; light but smooth mouthfeel. Sweet, richly drying finish.
Notes: A significant portion of the proceeds from this blend is donated to the charitable organization Grounds for Health that works to create sustainable cervical cancer prevention and treatment programs in coffee growing communities. Who Should Drink It: Those who enjoy the natural, complex sweetness of roasted cocoa nib in a gently roast-rounded coffee.
