Blind Assessment

Quietly intense aroma, softly and sweetly high-toned, dry berry notes. In the cup medium-bodied with a silky mouthfeel, with the mild acidy edge and tart dry berry notes enveloped in sweetness, netting a floral, Riesling-like buoyancy.

Notes

Despite national coffee leadership marred by confusion and apparent corruption, Kenya cooperatives continue to produce some of the world's most elegant and distinctive coffees. AA is the highest grade of Kenya coffee based on bean size. This particular Kenya is produced by the 400-plus members of the Gitugu cooperative at an elevation of 5,300 feet (1,600 meters) mainly from trees of the admired SL28 variety. Paradise Roasters prides itself on roasting and shipping coffee only after orders are placed.
