Blind Assessment
Currant-toned, sweetly floral. Red currant, jasmine blossom, brown sugar, cinnamon, cocoa nib in aroma and cup. Sweetly tart structure with brisk, juicy acidity; full, silky-smooth mouthfeel. The finish is driven by notes of red currant and cocoa nib.
Notes
Produced by 459 smallholding farmers of the Dukunde Kawa Cooperative, entirely of the Bourbon variety of Arabica, and processed by the washed method at the Mbilima Washing Station. In JBC’s “female-forward” series. JBC Coffee Roasters’ vision is simple: “Let the coffee lead the way” through sourcing and roasting the best coffees available and rewarding the farmers who grow those coffees with substantial premiums. Bottom Line
A red-fruit and floral-driven Rwanda, this washed cup is layered with crisp currant brightness, delicate florals, and a smooth cocoa finish.
