Blind Assessment

Richly fruit-forward, intensely aromatic. Concord grape, tiramisu, agave syrup, lilac, amber in aroma and cup. Juicy, bright acidity; plush, syrupy mouthfeel. The bold finish centers around notes of Concord grape and amber.

Notes

Produced by Alejo Khale Castro of Volcán Azul Farm, entirely of the Gesha variety of Arabica, and processed by the anaerobic natural method (fermented and dried in the whole fruit). Bird Rock Coffee Roasters is a retailer and wholesaler focused on organic and socially responsible coffees; it was named the “2012 Micro Roaster of the Year” by Roast Magazine. Visit www.birdrockcoffee.com or call 858-551-1707 for more information.

Bottom Line

This decadently sweet, candy-like anaerobic Costa Rica Gesha gets ballast from a resinous amber-like note — an ideal choice for a dessert coffee.
