Blind Assessment

Evaluated as espresso. Gently charred cedar, cherryish fruit and dark chocolate in the aroma. Full, though very slightly rough mouthfeel. Hints of lemon and anise develop in the cup, complicating the continuing cedar and dark chocolate. Sweet, rich finish. The dark chocolate sensation simply and pleasingly dominates in two parts milk, although hints of cedar and lemon persist.

Notes

Certified organically grown and Fair Trade certified, meaning the coffees making up this blend were purchased from small-holding farmers at a "fair" or economically sustainable price. Canterbury Coffee is a large roasting company based in the Vancouver area, with a wide range of coffee brands including – Spirit Bear, Resiprocate and Premio d’Italia. Who Should Drink It

Versatile espresso with restrained dark-roast character, considerable complexity and solid socio-economic and environmental credentials.
