Notes: Farmer Luis Alonso Araujo produced this coffee from trees of the much-admired, bold-beaned Pacamara variety on the Tierra Fertil section of his farm Los Alpes. The Pacamara variety, a cross between the giant-beaned Maragogipe and Pacas, a selection of the heirloom Bourbon, has proven to produce exceptional coffee on many El Salvador farms. Blind Assessment: Sweet stone fruit aroma with hints of toast and cocoa. Bright acidity in the cup, smooth mouthfeel and flavors of tangerine that fade to richly sweet dry berry, milk chocolate and flowers. Long finish with a pungent dark chocolate character.

Who should drink it: A brightly sweet, pungently fruit- and chocolate-toned cup.
