  • Washed - Green

Roast: NA Review Date: July 2000
Origin: Canas Verdes, Boquete growing region, Chiriqui Province, Panama. Price: NA

Blind Assessment: Clear, dry fruit that reads pleasingly as cocoa graces this agreeable but understated coffee. Some panelists praised its gentle complexity; others found the cup too gentle.

Notes: Clear, dry fruit that reads pleasingly as cocoa graces this agreeable but understated coffee. Produced at 4,600 feet (1,400 meters), primarily from trees of the caturra and catuai varieties. The fruit pulp was removed from the beans mechanically rather than by the traditional ferment and washed method. From the 1999/2000 crop.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
