Blind Assessment: This rich, deeply dimensioned, complex version of the great Guatemala profile happily combines clear, wine-toned acidity with satisfying dark-roast pungency. I even detected a hint of the famous Antigua smokiness smoldering somewhere inside the pungency.

Who Should Drink It: A challenge to Starbucks scoffers, who doubt a coffee company with over one thousand stores can turn out coffees both singular and distinctive. Starbucks may be a corporate bully when it comes to business practices, but it proved something to me with this one.
