Roast: Medium Review Date: September 2013
Origin: Huehuetenango growing region, Guatemala. Price: $14.00/12 ounces

Blind Assessment: Syrupy, pungent. A particularly fragrant cedar, orange zest, grape, honey and a hint of carob-like chocolate in aroma and cup. Round, resonant, slightly drying acidity; full, syrupy mouthfeel. Flavor consolidates in a round, quiet finish.

Notes: The Las Ilusiones farm is owned by Emma Del Carmen Muñoz and her daughters. Conduit Coffee is a small-batch artisan roaster based in Seattle, Washington focused on promoting connections for coffee lovers that carry from farm to cup. Who Should Drink It: Full body and a fresh, aromatic cedar in a round-toned but lively cup.
