Coffee Review - Monk-Shot Breakfast Blend by Mystic Monk Coffee
87
Roast: Medium Review Date: April 2013
Origin: Not disclosed. Price: $14.99/14 single-serve capsules

Blind Assessment: (As brewed in a Keurig B70 Platinum single-serve brewing device using a Keurig-compatible capsule to produce a 6-ounce serving): Sweet-toned, gentle. Raisin, apricot, vanilla, hazelnut, a hint of flowers in aroma and cup. Balanced, sweetly tart acidity; smooth, lively mouthfeel. Hints of flavor survive and a sweet, gently drying finish.

Notes: This coffee is sold pre-ground in capsules that are compatible with the Keurig brewing system, but which use a different design from Keurig K-Cups. Mystic Monk Coffee is a small-batch roaster associated with a Carmelite monastery located in the Rocky Mountains of northern Wyoming. Roastmaster Brother Java emphasizes his artisan approach to roasting and his commitment to quality. Visit www.mysticmonkcoffee.com or call 877-751-6377 for more information.

Who Should Drink It: A quietly balanced, gently nuanced breakfast cup for Keurig owners.
