Roast: Medium-Dark Review Date: July 2011
Origin: Colombia. Price: $11.25/16 ounces

Blind Assessment: Complex dark-roast character in aroma and cup: deep, rich, dark chocolate with citrus top notes (lemon, grapefruit) and pungent, cedary midtones. The fine aromatics are partly betrayed by a rather leanish mouthfeel and finish.

Notes: Supremo is the highest grade of Colombia coffee based on fewest physical imperfections and largest bean size. In 1996 Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters first opened its doors on the banks of the Erie Canal in historic Bushnell's Basin, New York. Who Should Drink It: Lovers of dark roasts that combine crisp, roasty character with a full range of flavor and aromatics.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
