Roast: Medium Review Date: February 2009
Origin: Not disclosed. Price: NA

Blind Assessment: Straightforward, balanced traditional American cup: sweet but gently tart and acidy, lightly syrupy in mouthfeel, hints of aromatic wood and butter in the aroma turning toward a pungent dark chocolate in the cup. The chocolate suggestion saves a slightly astringent finish from simplicity.

Notes: Available in a 12-ounce valve bag at $8.49. Green Mountain is one of the country's leading specialty roasters, offering a particularly wide-ranging variety of origins and roast styles. Visit www.greenmountaincoffee.com or call 800-223-6768 for more information.

Who Should Drink It: An L.L. Bean sort of coffee: no pretense, traditional style.

Coffee, more so than wine, is a continually changing product. Recent reviews, whether written by Coffee Review or readers, are most likely to reflect current versions of a given coffee.
