Blind Assessment: Crisp, delicate, sweet. Intense but elusive scent of violet, hints of raisin, almond, caramel and fresh-cut fir in aroma and cup. Round, gently rich acidity; lightly syrupy, plush mouthfeel. Fir and caramel in particular carry into a quietly resonant finish.
Notes: The name Flatlander is an affectionate tribute to the sweep and drama of the Great Plains surrounding PT’s home city Topeka, Kansas. PT’s motto is “without the love, it’s just coffee.” Visit www.ptscoffee.com or call 888-678-5282 for more information.
Who Should Drink It: Those who enjoy a balanced, quietly lively lighter-roasted cup with a particularly elegant floral note.
