Blind Assessment: Round, sweet-toned, gently plush. Cocoa, flowers, plum-like fruit in aroma and cup. Delicate, crisp acidity; light but smooth mouthfeel. Flavor carries into a gently rich finish.
Notes: Despite great potential as a producer of fine coffee owing to high growing elevations and well-established plantings of traditional varieties of Arabica, Tanzania has struggled as a coffee producer owing to poorly developed infrastructure. Nevertheless, the soft, delicate cup often associated with southwestern Tanzania is displayed in this graceful offering from Kéan Coffee.
