Blind Assessment
Quiet, balanced aroma with faint hints of cocoa, lemon, flowers, nut, cedar. This muted complexity resolves into a quite distinct and pleasing cocoa in the cup, supported by a soft acidity and a delicate, silky mouthfeel. Clean, straightforward cocoa-saturated finish.
Notes
Available at $9.95 per pound. Lost Dutchman is a small-batch artisan wholesale roasting company taking its name from the legend of the Lost Dutchman goldmine in Arizona's Superstition Mountains, which accounts for the rather idiosyncratic name given this single-origin coffee from the celebrated Daterra farms in Brazil.
