Deep-toned, balanced coffee. Gently tart acidity, lean but silky mouthfeel. Cherryish fruit with a hint of lemon and a lean toward chocolate dominate aroma and cup, coasting into a long, sweet finish.

Coffee from the Toraja region of the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, once Celebes, typically displays a wild and often earth-toned character, the result of the unorthodox "wet-hulled" method of fruit removal and drying. However, the clean sweetness and balance of this particular Sulawesi suggests it is a more conventional wet-processed or "washed" coffee. With two locations in Southern California's Orange County, Kean Coffee is an in-house coffee roaster and retailer established by Martin Diedrich of the famous Diedrich coffee family.
