Blind Assessment

Lightly scorched cedar dominates in aroma and cup, complicated by dark chocolate, cardamom-like spice and hints of flowers and lemon. Roast-muted acidity. Leanish though smooth mouthfeel. Chocolate moves forward in a simple but sweet finish.

Notes

This coffee has been treated to reduce acids and the acidy sensation that may create gastric discomfort in some people. The acid-reduction procedure is applied to the coffee in its green state, before roasting, and is entirely “natural,” meaning only hot water and steam are used. The acidy sensation is further reduced by a relatively dark roast. TruCup is a Seattle, Washington based roaster that differentiates itself by specializing in low-acid coffee. Visit www.trucup.com or call 855-287-8287 for more information.

Who Should Drink It

Acidity avoiders who enjoy a crisply roasty but gently complex cup.
