Blind Assessment

Subtly sweet, rich, enlivened by tart fruit notes. Pie cherry, lavender, dried basil, hazelnut butter in aroma and cup. Juicy, tart acidity; full, lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Baker’s chocolate surfaces in a richly drying finish.

Notes

Oromia is a coffee region in southern Ethiopia that produces distinctive coffees from traditional varieties of Arabica long grown in the region. This lot was processed by the wet or washed method (fruit skin and pulp are removed before drying). Southern Ethiopia coffees processed with this method typically express great aromatic complexity and intensity, with a particular emphasis on floral notes. Dr. Danger Coffee was founded by Bob Arnot, MD, a veteran of relief work in Africa and a long-time health correspondent for NBC and CBS. Using liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry analysis, the company strives to produce coffees with the highest possible health benefits by sourcing and roasting coffees with high levels of anti-inflammatory compounds.
