Blind Assessment

Evaluated as an instant or soluble coffee at proportions of one cube of instant coffee mixed with 8.5 ounces (250 ml) of hot water. Delicately sweet-savory. Caramel, fir, cashew, lily hint of beef jerky in aroma and cup. Sweet-savory structure with little perceptible acidity; thin, smooth mouthfeel. The crisp finish centers around notes of cashew, caramel and beef jerky.

Jiva Cubes launched in 2017 after a successful Kickstarter campaign. The company’s inspiration is the instant “cubed coffees” founder Natalia Rodriguez discovered while visiting family in Colombia, and this sample is the first of her production that contains no sugar.
