Blind Assessment: Spice-toned, richly floral. Lavender, cashew butter, apricot, fir, cane sugar in aroma and cup. Crisply sweet structure with brisk acidity; satiny mouthfeel. Wood-framed finish with undertones of lavender and cashew.
Notes: Produced by smallholding members of the Sholi Cooperative, entirely of the Bourbon variety of Arabica, and processed by the washed method. Imported by Atlas Coffee Importers. Indaba Coffee is a small family-owned business in the heart of Spokane, Washington whose mission is “radical hospitality.” For every bag of coffee sold, Indaba donates a meal to someone in need through the 2nd Harvest Food Bank. The Bottom Line: Floral and spice tones drive this fine Rwanda cup with support from sweet nut and aromatic wood suggestions.
