Deeply sweet, invitingly structured. Baker’s chocolate, cedar, brown sugar, pungent berry, bittersweet, bergamot-like citrus in aroma and cup. Balanced, sweet-tart acidity; satiny mouthfeel. The finish rounds and consolidates around baker’s chocolate and brown sugar.
Produced entirely from trees of the heirloom Bourbon variety of Arabica. This is a wet-processed or “washed” coffee, meaning the fruit skin and pulp were removed from the beans immediately after harvesting and before drying. Rwanda’s impressive potential as fine coffee producer has come to fruition over the past decade, owing to the industry of its growers, generous support from international aid agencies and the commitment of North American specialty coffee roasters. Caffè Luxxe is an Italian-inflected artisan roaster and retailer that emphasizes both its coffee knowledge and precision and its straightforward lack of pretension. An accessible, sweet Rwanda cup with appealing berry and bittersweet citrus notes in aroma and flavor.
