Blind Assessment

Delicate, quiet, exotic. Grapefruit, dark chocolate, molasses, vanilla, a hint of pink peppercorn in aroma and cup. Quiet, backgrounded acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Grapefruit and molasses in particular carry into a sweet-toned, balanced finish.

Notes

The high mountain valleys of central Papua New Guinea offer some of the world's most favorable terroirs for production of fine coffee, although the rugged terrain presents daunting transportation and infrastructure challenges. This Papua New Guinea is grown by small holders and processed at a central mill in the heart of the western highlands. Revel Coffee is a micro-roaster located in Billings, Montana. Who Should Drink It

A quiet cup with pleasing aromatics built around grapefruity citrus and a molasses-inflected chocolate. A good choice for those who enjoy a relaxed, accessible, but still original and engaging cup.
