Blind Assessment: Delicate, intricate, expressive. Almond butter, plumeria, roasted cacao nib, myrrh, loquat in aroma and cup. Lively sweet-tart acidity; silky mouthfeel. The sweet-toned, resonant finish centers around plumeria and cocoa, with suggestions of myrrh in the short finish and loquat in the long.
Notes: Produced by Sergio Ticas at Finca Los Planes from trees of the bold-beaned Pacamara variety of Arabica. Processed by the wet or washed method (fruit skin and pulp are removed before drying). Roasted at PT’s Coffee, where the motto is “without the love, it’s just coffee.” Visit www.ptscoffee.com or call 888-678-5282 for more information.
The Bottom Line: A quietly exciting Pacamara cup, both delicate and rich, with exotic floral (plumeria) and fruit (loquat) notes throughout.
